Under construction. Expected release: ≥ v0.2.x
Here you’ll boot up a fully defined synthetic cell from scratch. You’ll need standard molecular biology lab equipment — including a microscope, shaking incubator, and floor centrifuge — and a week of time to get started.
Build the PURE system from scratch and express a reporter
To build the PURE system, you’ll need to express and purify 36 different recombinant proteins; assemble a mixture of small molecules, ribosomes, and tRNA; and then compose these together with a reporter DNA module. You’ll need Nucleus DNA distribution version ≥ v0.1.
Follow these instructions:
Encapsulate the PURE system and reporter
- Encapsulate in a liposome using
- Measure via Light Microscopy of Liposomes
- Analyze your microscopy data. Try the Liposome Analysis Tool!
